One Friday night every month, something special happens in Chestnut Ridge: The Rockland Contra Dance. Old and new friends of all ages come together for an evening of acoustic folk music, easy to learn dances and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you're an accomplished dancer or a curious beginner, you're bound to have fun doing all the contra moves to the beat of classic American folk tunes. A free workshop starts at 7:30 for newcomers where you'll learn everything you need for a night of dancing and socializing.
